My first trip to the French Quarter . . .

On Sunday, April 20, I had a lot of firsts! Not your usual firsts like laughing, cooing, crawling or anything baby like that. I experienced the New Orleans French Quarter! First of all, I went to Beau's baptism at St. Louis Cathedral. We saw the chalice that Pope Benedict gave to the New Orleans Diocese. Archbishop Hughes gave Beau a special blessing in addition to the deacon who performed the ceremony. (The deacon also blessed me after Beau's baptism.) We walked through Jackson Square then we walked along Royal Street and went to brunch at Brennan's. After brunch we went shopping at BEE Galleries on Chartres, and I purchased my first pieces of art. I got beautiful metal dragonflies to hang in my room. Finally, I went to see the Chicken Shack. Can you believe my daddy named that party place after me! Well, the sign had my initials on it anyway...... So I had a very eventful Sunday, and today I slept all day long.
